My company's data centre had moved awhile back and while I was aware it was partly due to a space issue, I didn't connect how many more servers we now had - just a "few" more since the last time I had a chance to have a peekaboo.

The servers we use come as a flat blade that inserts into a rack: take a look at each blue light, it's a single computer. I'm not quite sure of the count but there were about 5-6 full racks. Lost in this sea of servers is one that holds all the images I post on my site; Can you see it? It's not really waving but look at the far left-middle, there's three servers with just green lights; the one in the middle is where my little internet presence lives.

This is the full frontal and all pretty hey? At the back, where all the case fans blow, these things make a lot of hot air (temperature wise). Thankfully, while sillicon bum is just as warm, it's much more palatable a smell than mine. I think I was there for about 40 minutes and got a couple hundred shots, let's see how many I keep. Most of the time I was fighting with camera shake. I need to get a faster wide. :/
