Another productive day. Went to the Chinese consulate and got the visa. Cool. Also finished booking the tour from Bangkok, my mother will be happy to know I arranged for airport transfer to the hotel so I won't get mugged the minute I step off the plane. :) Also booked accommodation in Singapore at a place called Orchid 81 hotel, a single room with ensuite for about $50/night. Seems the guy from Bangkok also got back to me regarding the ticket to Shanghai from Bangkok, he's booked it for me and advised me to pay when I arrive in Bangkok. I hope he can wait until then, I don't arrive until October 17th. Seems they don't take credit card payments from overseas. I guess we shall see.

Now, just waiting for the train to go to Adelaide and then tomorrow another night on the train Adelaide to Alice Springs. My roommate at the hostel told me to take a sleeping bag on the train as it will be cold. brrrr brrrr..
