Reiko and I were talking to my mom last night about her war experiences. At the time, she was just a child in Japan living in the
Shimane-ken prefecture which is due north of Hiroshima. Asking about when
little boy fell on hiroshima, she was too far away to see or hear anything of the blast itself but recalls the clear day become suddenly cloudy. The older generation come out of their home had talking amongst themselves saying "The sun must be ill". It was later learned that the sky was filled with the ashes of the explosion that darkened the sky.
